Terms of Use

Welcome to LykMnd! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the mobile application, website, and related features (collectively, the "Service"), provided by LikeMinded Apps ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you explicitly agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Your Account

• Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service.
• Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for safeguarding your account access credentials (including passwords and authentication tokens managed via Supabase) and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide and maintain accurate, current, and complete registration information.

2. User-Generated Content (UGC) & License

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, media list selections, active tracking queues, or other materials ("Content"). You retain all ownership rights to any Content you submit or post to the Service.

By posting Content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, sub-licensable license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute such Content solely on and through the Service to operate, display, and promote LykMnd to you and other users.

3. Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use (UGC Policy)

LykMnd is built on shared tastes and authentic community interaction. To protect our community, we enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for abusive content and behavior. You explicitly agree not to post Content or engage in any activity on the Service that:

• Is illegal, hateful, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, pornographic, or harassing.
• Violates the intellectual property, copyright, or trademark rights of others.
• Spreads spam, phishing material, or unauthorized commercial solicitations.
• Involves impersonating another person, user, or entity.
• Attempts to scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, or collect data from the Service without our express written permission.

Mandatory Safety Moderation (Apple App Store Compliance)

As a platform hosting User-Generated Content, LykMnd provides the following mandatory safety controls directly within the application interfaces:

• Reporting Mechanisms: Users can flag or report any piece of content or profile that violates these Community Guidelines by using the "Report" feature built into the app interface.
• Blocking Controls: Users can block any other user at any time. Blocking instantly hides the blocked user's content, profile, and updates from your view, and prevents them from interacting with your profile or active media journeys.
• Mute Controls: Users can mute any other user at any time. Muting hides that user's posts and activity from your Home feed and Feed Search without notifying them.
• 24-Hour Moderation Action: We actively review all reported violations. We reserve the right to remove non-compliant content and suspend or permanently terminate offending accounts within 24 hours of receiving a valid report.

4. Privacy Policy Integration

Your privacy is incredibly important to us. Our collection, usage, and security protocols regarding your personal data, device diagnostics, push tokens, and account deletion are governed entirely by our Privacy Policy. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge and agree to the practices detailed in our Privacy Policy, which is hosted at https://lykmnd.app/privacy-policy.html.

5. Our Intellectual Property

The Service and its original code, assets, UI layouts, brand elements, features, design choices, and unique core systems (excluding standard public media metadata fetched via open APIs and content provided by our users) are and will remain the exclusive property of LikeMinded Apps and its licensors. Our trademarks, brand name, and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

6. Termination and Account Deletion

• Termination by Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• Termination by You: You can terminate your relationship with LykMnd at any time by completely deleting your account directly within the application's account settings interface. Upon deletion, your active profile data and user-generated lists will be removed from public view in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, that the service will be entirely uninterrupted, completely secure, or free from operational or network errors.

In no event shall LikeMinded Apps, nor its directors, employees, co-founders, or infrastructure partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Venue

These Terms shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action, suit, or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the application must be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is determined to be material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice inside the application or via email prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.
