LikeMinded, INC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the LykMnd mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

(a) Information You Provide to Us

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, username, password, and profile picture.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): We collect the content you create, upload, or share on our Service, including your public profile data, media item selections, active media tracking logs, taste-match metrics, comments, and interactions with other users.

(b) Information We Automatically Collect

• Usage Data & Interaction: We collect information about your activity within the app, such as your likes, follows, list updates, and interactions with other users' profiles.
• Device & Diagnostic Data: We collect information from and about your mobile device, including your IP address, device type, operating system version, unique application identifiers, and crash diagnostics.
• Push Notification Tokens: We collect and utilize device push tokens to deliver real-time interaction updates, community milestone alerts, and journey updates.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and optimize the LykMnd experience.
• Calculate taste-match percentages and power customized community discovery feeds.
• Deliver push notifications regarding account activity, community milestones, and updates from users you follow.
• Monitor application performance, resolve crashes, and maintain system stability.
• Find, prevent, and address fraudulent activity, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Use.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following specific situations:

• With Other Users: LykMnd is a social discovery platform. Your public profile, public favorites, active tracking journeys ("Exploring"), and taste-match alignments are visible to other users of the Service.
• With Third-Party Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who perform essential operational services for us. These include:
  • Supabase: Backend database infrastructure, account authentication, and data cloud hosting.
  • Sentry: Real-time application crash diagnostics, error tracking, performance monitoring, and limited Session Replay (screen recordings used to debug failures). Replays mask on-screen text and images by default so passwords and form fields are not readable. We identify errors with an internal user id and optional public username — not your email — and we do not enable Sentry’s default PII collection (for example IP address attachment).
  • OneSignal: Managing, targeting, and delivering push notification tokens and alerts.
  • Metadata & Media API Integrations: To help you search and log media content, our app communicates with external media metadata databases. Your interactions with these search features may fetch data through providers including The Movie Database (TMDB), ISBNdb, MusicBrainz, and Spotify/Fanart.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, or in response to valid requests or subpoenas by public authorities.

4. Your Data Rights, Choices, and Account Deletion

Depending on your location (including rights granted under the GDPR in Europe and CCPA/CPRA in California), you have comprehensive rights regarding your personal data:

• Access and Correction: You can review, update, or correct your core profile information at any time directly through your account settings inside the application.
• Account Deletion (Right to Erasure): You have the right to permanently delete your account and associated personal data at any time.
  • How to Delete: You can initiate permanent account deletion directly within the application settings screen, or by submitting a formal request via email to support@lykmnd.app.

Upon receiving an account deletion event, we will purge your personal account records and remove your User-Generated Content from active application views, subject to necessary data retention laws.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, please note that no electronic transmission over the internet or cloud storage technology can be guaranteed 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to permanently delete that information from our systems.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect shifts in features or privacy regulations. We will notify you of changes by posting the revised policy directly on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of the policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
